My experience teaching MS and HS PE and Health

My teaching journey has been significantly influenced by my experiences at various educational institutions, which have collectively shaped my approach to teaching at Korea International School (KIS) Middle School today. My experiences teaching Primary Years/Elemantry School students, introduced me to the formative years of students' development, emphasizing fundemental motor skills, inquiry-based learning, and character development. These experiences have been instrumental in shaping my approach to teaching .

Additionally, my time teaching High School Physical Education at Mirta Ramirez Charter School and Orr Academy High School provided me with a unique perspective on the end of the developmental process—the goal towards which we strive in education. These experiences enriched my understanding of the physical and social development of older students, and I've carried this insight with me to KIS. Now, as a Middle School PE teacher, I have a comprehensive view of the entire developmental spectrum, from the formative years to the final stages of high school and into adulthood. This holistic understanding enables me to apply a well-rounded and adaptable approach to my pedagogy and classroom management, ensuring that I can effectively meet the diverse needs of students of any age and any developmental level.
